Caretaker

(Part-Time, 25 Hours per Week – Shared Role Between Two Schools)

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and dedicated Caretaker to join our friendly school communities. This post is for 25 hours per week, shared between St. Patrick’s NS, Murlog and Scoil Mhuire gan Smál, Lifford. 

About the Role

You will take pride in ensuring both school sites are safe, secure, clean, and well maintained. Duties include:

  • Opening and locking school premises
  • Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are met
  • Supporting contractors and deliveries and assisting with site security

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is practical, dependable, and takes initiative
  • Has good communication and organisational skills
  • Can work flexible hours  
  • Takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for children and staff

Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Details:

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Start date: 12th January 2026 with a two-week trial period in December 2025
